January Beach

The sky reminded us all of Ireland, incredible clouds, breaks of sun, cerulean blue, rain on the horizon, but no rainbow. We headed out to the January beach for a winter picnic, to blow away some cobwebs and stretch our legs. We had the place (almost) to ourselves, and roamed all over searching for heart rocks and other treasures.  We enjoyed sandwiches, fruit, cocoa and tea, fresh air and each other’s company.  A fine way to start a New Year!

Funny you should say that–we had been talking about the dips in Portland and Acadia on the drive over, and when we got there John bemoaned the fact that he didn’t bring his bathing suit!
